Fizz Privacy Policy

Fizz is operated by adidshaft and is built around personal reading and feedback. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, who helps process it, and how you can delete your account and data.

Data we collect

Fizz may collect the following data when you use the app:

  • Account identifiers, including your Sign in with Apple identifier, Fizz profile ID, and subscription transaction identifiers.
  • Personalization data, including onboarding answers, Curate messages, preferences, feedback, reports, bookmarks, and reading settings.
  • AI interaction data, including prompts, follow-up chat messages, generated Fizzes, summaries, and source-card interactions.
  • Permission-based data only if you allow it, such as microphone or speech input transcripts and optional calendar, contacts, reminders, or notification preferences.
  • Diagnostics and product interaction data, such as app events, request logs, crash/performance diagnostics, and backend health signals.

How we use data

Fizz uses data to create daily reads, personalize your mix, operate Curate memory, sync state across devices, verify subscriptions, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with law. Fizz does not sell your personal data and does not use it for third-party advertising tracking.

Service providers

Fizz relies on service providers to run the product. Apple supports Sign in with Apple, CloudKit, notifications, and subscription purchases. OpenAI may process prompts, generated read requests, chat messages, or image-generation requests when you use AI features. Cloud hosting providers process backend data and logs needed to operate Fizz. Providers are expected to protect data consistently with this policy and applicable law.

Retention and deletion

Daily read history defaults to 90 days, and you can choose 30, 60, 90, or 180 days in Settings. Account and personalization data is kept while your account is active unless a shorter retention setting or legal requirement applies.

You can delete your Fizz account and associated data in the app by opening Settings, then Account and Data, then Delete account and data. This removes your Fizz profile and asks the backend mirror to delete associated data. Subscriptions are managed by Apple separately, so deleting your Fizz account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Choices

  • You can change retention length in Settings.
  • You can grant or revoke iOS permissions in the Settings app.
  • You can restore purchases from Fizz and manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support.

Security, children, and updates

Fizz uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for the data it processes. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. Fizz is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product changes, and the effective date above will change when we make material updates.
